Buying local to us means that you can drive down to a local farm and develop a personal relationship with the farmer who is providing the organic vegetables, grass-fed meat, fresh eggs and raw milk that you’re consuming.   Buying local means that there is no longer a useless waste of fossil fuel being burned up by trucking hundreds, if not thousands, of miles to get to the local grocery store.

Sustainable farming consists of food production methods that don’t harm the environment, are genuinely healthy, and are humane to animals. Sustainable farming does not consist of the use of chemical fertilizers, non-therapeutic antibiotics, hormones, and pesticides.
